Manhunt for the car that caused the accident involving two cyclists on Sunday morning engaged in one of the many excursions along provincial road 25, in the municipality of Porto Torres.
According to witnesses gathered at the scene, the vehicle involved was a metallic gray car . The driver continued on his way without stopping to provide assistance .
The Carabinieri of the Porto Torres mobile radio company are said to be on his trail.
The military, after hearing some witnesses, are examining the images from the cameras present in the area .
The impact occurred at 8.30am, in the La Pauledda area , when the two bikers were preparing to take a bend.
"We found the car parked on the road while attempting a reckless reversing maneuver," said Davide Tellini, the former city councilor who was injured in the accident along with his colleague. Both returned home after undergoing medical checks at the Santissima Annunziata Hospital in Sassari. They suffered bruises and grazes, with a prognosis of one week.
"Our thanks go to the medical staff, nurses, and emergency room staff at Sassari Hospital, who combine expertise and professionalism with something no protocol can impose: humanity, patience, and the ability to make a patient feel truly cared for. People who cared for us with care and patience, at a time when there was more fear than serious injuries, things we can fortunately share," adds Tellini, recalling the details of the accident.
