A group of cyclists risked being dragged under a semi-trailer . The serious episode occurred in Porto Torres , last Saturday, around 8:30, when the group, two in line, was proceeding along via Vespucci, along the road that crosses the Colombo bridge.

The driver of an articulated lorry that was travelling in the same direction pulled up alongside the bicycles just a few centimetres away. “So close that we risked getting hooked and ending up in the underside of the semi-trailer and under the wheels,” explains Davide Tellini, one of the cyclists and a former councillor for the Municipality of Porto Torres.

Mutual accusations fly, the truck driver decides to stop once he reaches the first roundabout (former Esso depot). "He effectively blocks traffic with his heavy vehicle, takes out a crowbar and begins to threaten us, without hesitation," explains Tellini, "only when he saw our reaction, he got back on the truck and continued driving."

The group of cyclists complains about the repetition of similar episodes. "It is yet another attack that we suffer from those who call themselves road professionals, serious behavior by those who do not take into account that even two-wheelers have the right to march, without danger, to return home: on bikes there are no skittles but fathers of families ".
