New road accident, in the afternoon, at the intersection of via Sassari and via Manno, near the San Gavino Park in Porto Torres. The causes of the accident have yet to be ascertained.

A Citroen C4 as it emerged from via delle Vigne to merge onto via Manno collided with a Lancia Ypsilon which was proceeding along via Sassari towards the center. Following the violent impact, the Citroen C4 ended up on the pavement near the playground. A 62-year-old woman aboard the car who suffered some trauma, but fortunately her conditions are not serious. Rescued by the 118 medical workers who rushed to the scene, the woman was transported to the Santissima Annunziata hospital in Sassari for investigations.

The driver of the Lancia Ypsilon was unharmed. At the scene of the accident also the firefighters of the local detachment and the agents of the local police for the relief of the case and the regulation of traffic.
