The Carabinieri of the Porto Torres company paid tribute to retired Marshal Michele Rosas, a new centenarian who has been a guest of the integrated community "Per te per Sempre" for approximately three years.
The meeting was organized for the traditional exchange of greetings during the upcoming Easter holidays and to celebrate the prestigious milestone of the elderly petty officer's 100th birthday. In the presence of the facility's director, Bernardetta Tanca, and the birthday boy's daughter, Maria Antonietta, the Company Commander, Captain Stefano Scurti, and the officers from the Porto Torres station presented Marshal Rosas and his wife, Mrs. Tonina, with the chocolate egg in the colors of the Force.
The visibly moved retired soldier recounted the highlights of his professional career, marked by service in various locations, including Carbonia, Genoa, Alghero, and Ozieri, always accompanied by his wife of 70 years. During the conversation, the centenarian proudly recalled the years spent in uniform, emphasizing the value of integrity and the importance of his unbreakable bond with the Institution, repeatedly repeating: "I was good to the good, but I treated the bad accordingly." It was a moving moment for Michele Rosasn, who thanked his colleagues for the warm visit, which demonstrates the Carabinieri's unwavering support for those who continue to honor the values of belonging to the Institution, even on leave.
