Two people, ready to board with a switchblade in hand, were stopped by officers from the fixed police station at the Porto Torres maritime port. The incident occurred on the evening of Thursday, July 30th, at the commercial port during increasingly stringent police checks.
Two German citizens were reported for illegal possession of weapons after being found in possession of an unlicensed pepper spray, carefully concealed in their vehicle, and the other was found to be hiding a switchblade in the car he was preparing to board, along with the unlicensed spray. These items were seized by judicial authorities. Checks at the port entrances continue, intensified due to the increase in passenger traffic on ships.
