Illness on the passenger ship Gnv Azzurra, the ferry of the Grandi Navi Veloci company docked in the maritime port of Porto Torres, at the Ponente 1 pier, the quay from which it was supposed to leave its moorings to head towards Genoa.
One of the sailors, a member of the crew, felt ill in the afternoon, shortly before starting the boarding operations of vehicles and passengers.
An ambulance from 118 arrived on the scene to provide assistance, transporting the sailor to the Santissima Annunziata hospital for checks. Fortunately, his conditions are not serious.
In the meantime, the emergency situation has created inconvenience for travellers, with long lines and queues under the sun in the square in front of the commercial port, waiting to board.
The ferry, scheduled to depart around 6pm, cast off almost 2 hours late.
