A €65 million project to build two enormous solar farms with a total capacity of 60 MW. One will be built in Porto Torres, the second in Casale Monferrato.
The major financing was obtained by Metlen Energy & Metals, a global company operating in the industrial and energy sectors.
These are two solar parks with a total capacity of 60 MW, scheduled for completion in the coming months. The projects will be located in Sardinia and Piedmont.
For many, this would be yet another project of "assault" without consulting the local community.
The solar farms also benefit from a state-backed tax incentive granted by the GSE (Energy Services Manager) for a period of 20 years. The sites are estimated to produce approximately 110 GWh of energy annually.
