A gift to save lives, for sports clubs and for the users of sports field number two. Here, at the Porto Torres sports center, a defibrillator delivery ceremony was held this afternoon, a gesture of solidarity from the Marika Soru Aps association, named after the 16-year-old girl who died prematurely last year due to a sudden illness.
In attendance was Councilor for Sport and Social Services Gavina Muzzetto, an emotional moment that saw the participation of many Porto Torres Calcio athletes, from young rookies to first-team players. The defibrillator, now kept in its dedicated display case, was delivered by Sandro Soru and his youngest daughter, the father and sister of Marika Soru, to whom the first Memorial held last August was dedicated. "This gift is the result of the proceeds from the event held last summer, when the association expressed its desire to make a donation to the sports clubs of the sports center that hosts most of these organizations," said Councilor Muzzetto, "a space open to all, with the hope that people will respect this life-saving device and the value of this donation."
