Porto Canale, workers' sit-in in front of the Regional Council: 220 without work since 2019

Thus Ugo Dall'Ora, spokesperson for the 220 workers of the Canal Port who have been out of work since 2019 and waiting for a solution for the relaunch of the Sardinian port.
«We now want to have the opportunity to present a programmatic point aimed at a true policy of rebirth of the territory », continues Dall'Ora, «this program should include an industrial policy capable of rebalancing the economy, orienting it towards supply chains of excellence and going beyond the agri-food sector as a reference model."
For the demonstrators who also explained the reasons for the protest to the centre-left candidate, Alessandra Todde, the international hub of Cagliari «is a crucial catalyst for industrial opportunities thanks to initiatives such as the Zes and the closed customs free zone, bearers of important fiscal, administrative and customs advantages for potential investors".
