The State Police Union, ANIP – Italia Sicura, also weighed in, following the SIULP, on the situation at the port of Olbia. It spoke of people arriving from the Monastir reception center who were stranded for days at the maritime station.

ANIP – Italia Sicura (National Association of Italian Safe People) appeals to the institutions: "The prefects, as provincial public safety authorities, must promote, within their sphere of competence and in consultation with the government and the Ministry of the Interior, every useful initiative to ensure that those who are actually subject to expulsion and lack a valid permit to remain in Italy have clear operational procedures in place to leave Sardinia and reach their country of origin. This will be done through dedicated maritime connections or those agreed upon with one or more shipping companies. If readmission agreements with the countries of origin are insufficient, the government must strengthen them and make them operational."

The departure of people from the port of Olbia is often influenced by the decisions of ferry captains. Anip Italia Sicura clarifies: "We are not talking about asylum seekers or people entitled to the forms of protection provided by law. We are talking exclusively about those who, having exhausted the required procedures, are the recipients of an expulsion order that must be carried out. A clear and effectively implemented procedure would also have a preventative effect: it would make it clear that arriving irregularly in Sardinia is not a route to the mainland and subsequently other European countries.
