Over 72 kilos of sand and pebbles and almost 2 kilos of shells .

This is the balance sheet of the material seized by the State Police during the summer season which lasted until late October this year.

Checks in Sardinian airports and ports have been intensified to counter the theft of sand and shells from the beaches of the island, seized above all from foreigners who try to leave with the booty hidden in their luggage.

The coasts most looted this year were those of Sulcis and Oristano . As many as 56 high minutes for a total of 56,560 euros. In fact, the fines range from a minimum of one thousand to a maximum of 9,296 euros.
