A sad awakening for those who chose Poetto for a stroll this morning. And not because of the leaden sky, which also portends rain, but because of what meets the eye: a swathe of plastic, bags, and cans abandoned on the sand.

The most unsightly spectacle is the fourth stop, shortly after the "Il Lido" beach resort, arriving from Cagliari. Here, amidst the darkness and euphoria of Saturday night, yet another party unfolded. And judging by what remains, it lacked absolutely nothing.

Impeccable organization: glasses, beverages, energy drinks, and alcoholic beverages. Everything was planned down to the smallest detail. Except for the last, crucial step: collecting and removing the trash, leaving the beach as it was found. Meanwhile, animals and wind have done the rest: what had been stuffed into bags is now scattered everywhere, waiting for someone to throw it away.
