There's still no sign of Giovanni Pittui, the 75-year-old pensioner from Florinas who disappeared from Ploaghe on September 14th from the Ancora community. According to the last sighting, the elderly man may have lost his way near the train station, walking along the guardrail. A month and a half after his disappearance, there's no news on the outcome of the search.
After the family repeatedly raised the alarm, the Scientific Committee for Searching for Missing Persons (ODV) has launched a new appeal, stressing that the man, who may have lost his bearings, needs lifesaving medication.
The message describes the 75-year-old's physical appearance and clothing at the time of his disappearance: he was 1.64 meters tall, weighed 80 kilos, had a balding hairline, dark eyes, and was wearing pajama pants and a blue polo shirt with matching tennis shoes.
