Saved thanks to immediate emergency intervention. A 55-year-old man suffered cardiac arrest this morning while jogging along Platamona beach , in the Sorso coastal stretch between Primo and Secondo Pettine. He suddenly felt ill and showed symptoms of a heart attack .

The intervention of a nurse, who was nearby and was the first to notice that the man, feeling unwell, had collapsed, was providential. So, after alerting 911, he promptly performed CPR maneuvers .

Medical workers arrived on site aboard the Life Soccorso di Platamona ambulance and intervened with a defibrillator , an instrument with which they managed to revive the 55-year-old.

He was then transferred to the Santissima Annunziata hospital, where doctors confirmed the man's health conditions, which they deemed out of danger.
