He was identified as the perpetrator of a theft at the market but he was hiding 72 kg of drugs in his house. A 36-year-old from Pimentel is in trouble, arrested by the police following an investigative activity.

The man, unemployed and already known to the police, had committed a theft in a local supermarket on 2 September. He was identified thanks to various testimonies and images from surveillance cameras.

The soldiers searched the house, with negative results. However, 72 kg of marijuana were found in the country house owned by the man, consisting largely of dried inflorescences, kept in six paper bags.

The spaces, thanks to a hot air generator connected to an LPG cylinder, with four ventilation systems and a drip irrigation system with timer and various cultivation equipment, had been transformed into a greenhouse. The arrest was immediate . What was found was transferred pending the analyzes that will be carried out by the Carabinieri of the RIS of Cagliari and the subsequent destruction of the material.

The man is now under house arrest. The particular farmer was transferred by the workers to his home where he will have to remain under house arrest.
