5,664 applications have been submitted and accepted for the Region's call for proposals for targeted incentives to support the installation of photovoltaic systems and electricity storage systems for self-consumption. These applications are expected to be fulfilled within three years.
As Regional Councilor for Public Works Antonio Piu explained today in Sassari, the total budget for the call for proposals is €90 million. The first 1,290 accepted applications will receive €20 million in funding for 2025, and the remaining applications, following the ranking, will receive funding in 2026 and 2027.
"We are very pleased with the response from the residents who participated in the call," commented Councilor Piu. "The first 1,016 photovoltaic systems will be installed immediately and will meet the demand of families with an ISEE of up to €7,500 for 3-kilowatt systems. We designed the call to meet requests starting with the lowest ISEE, to help those in the most vulnerable groups; this will allow us to finance the system, which will also lead to lower energy bills."
The non-repayable incentive will cover all costs associated with the supply and installation of photovoltaic systems and storage systems for residential and commercial properties, including comprehensive insurance coverage, a periodic maintenance program, and system performance monitoring by the contractors.
The 209 companies involved in this first phase of the call for proposals, relating to the 2025 financial year, will build an average of 6.17 plants each, with 217 plants in the Metropolitan City of Sassari, 204 in the province of Nuoro, 195 in the province of Oristano, 467 in Southern Sardinia and 207 in the Metropolitan City of Cagliari.
