The Postal Police against pedophilia and child pornography is a daily commitment and on the occasion of the national day against these crimes some data relating to Sardinia are disseminated.

In general , the number of adults arrested for being caught in the act of a crime, for possessing large quantities of child pornography or for being abusers of children and young people in their possession is growing .

They are often men, under the age of 50 , who systematically exploit the technical characteristics of the various network services to ensure anonymity and impunity.

Minors are more exposed to risks because they have a more spontaneous relationship with new technologies - chat rooms, gaming platforms - and it is precisely there that adults try to lure them.

Parents - the police recall - are the first bulwark of safety for children and teenagers and have, in listening and dialogue, the most powerful tools to make the protection of children a reality and their safety a fact.

The Dossier "Inside the numbers: the fight against online pedophilia" contains not only information capable of describing a current risk but also wants to describe a protection system such as the one carried out by the Postal Police, made up of inter-institutional synergies and multidisciplinary activities in which the of knowledge and commitments aimed at building possible and effective solutions.
