The Nas carabinieri at the Santissima Annunziata hospital in Sassari at the request of the relatives of the patients, who complain of overcrowded wards. In fact, the relatives of the patients reported on stretchers with patients "parked" in the corridors, due to the lack of available beds.
From what we learn, the situation in Medical Pathology would raise more alarm, where this morning as many as 12 of the hospitalized patients were lying on stretchers, crammed into two-bed rooms or leaning in the corridors.
In recent days, the same relatives of the patients had reported an overcrowding with dozens of patients on stretchers, in the wards of men's medicine, women's medicine, medical pathology and geriatrics.
On that occasion the hospital company had replied by announcing the preparation of a service order to reduce the workload of the operating units that record a high number of hospitalizations and their distribution among the various internist departments. To date, however, the situation has not improved. Hence the intervention of the Nas, who will report the results of the investigations to the Public Prosecutor's Office, which will then evaluate whether to proceed with further investigations.
