Students and workers of the Parteolla run the risk of not being able to get to school or work every day because the Arst bus is full . Some passengers are always left on the ground because the driver is forced not to get them on board due to insufficient seats. This happens in Serdiana, Dolianova, Donori, already since last June, albeit to a lesser extent than this year, in which, as citizens and local administrators complain, the situation has considerably worsened and the inconveniences are enormous. Currently, every two days, some young people cannot find a place, and if they do not have the possibility to reach the school by other means, they are forced to skip classes ”.

Thus the regional councilor of the M5s, Michele Ciusa , who asks the leaders of the ARST to upgrade the races in the Parteolla so that the service is guaranteed.

“The council declares itself ready to fight the depopulation of the smaller centers but in the meantime the public transport service is not guaranteed in the Parteolla centers either . The Region has similar control over Arst and must verify that the company carries out its activity according to the regulations ”, continues Ciusa. "In addition, we have witnessed the resignation of a councilor for transport which has further aggravated the problems that are pouring out on citizens, forced to independently manage the absence of public service".

“Commuters - he adds - say that since the additional trips activated during the months following the pandemic were withdrawn, places have become insufficient . The ARST, however, was only concerned with selling annual passes without fully guaranteeing the service ”.

“Finally - Ciusa's words - I recall that the challenges of the regional ERDF 21/27 program include various initiatives, including that of placing urban areas as the engine of the process of change towards a society closer to citizens. What is the Region waiting for to present valid projects to exploit these funds? ”.

“We cannot tolerate talking about the fight against depopulation and not taking immediate action to ensure that each center is easily reachable”, the conclusion.
