In Palmas Arborea, as in other towns in the Oristano province, only one list is running for the vote on June 7th and 8th. The "Una Boxi Noa" group, led by Andrea Pinna, aims to surpass the 40% quorum. Palmas Arborea is currently administered by a commissioner following the resignations of nine out of twelve councilors last February. "I have decided to run again," Pinna began, "this time for mayor, because I feel I can contribute greatly to the communities of Palmas Arborea and Tiria, guaranteeing my full commitment." He will be joined by councilor candidates Massimo Buschettu, Alex Garau, Michele Musu, Nicola Cancedda, Marco Corrias, Thomas Piu, Antonio De Pinto, Giulia Lampis, Claudia Piras, Serena Nanni, Davide Napoli, and Simone Schirru. "The group," Pinna continues, "is diverse but united: everyone has decided to donate their time and commitment for the common good. We will try to bring what we are to the good of the community, to work transparently every day." The program includes many areas on which they intend to focus. "There is no one point more important than the others," Pinna states. "We will seek to support culture and enhance cultural associations; we will work to improve the region in all its complexity; we will try to create new community services for young people and the elderly in order to build a more cohesive social fabric. Then, we will try to support sports by studying the most suitable operational methods to capitalize on the significant investments made in this sector." The only obstacle to the election is the quorum. "We are confident in our project," Pinna concludes, "and we will try to make citizens understand the validity of our ideas."
