The nocturnal charm of an illuminated Bear Rock promises to be remarkable. “Emphasized,” as the municipal administration calls it, in its observation both from land and sea. This will be the case at the end of the intervention, scheduled for next February, of lighting the symbol of Palau (a symbol recently also depicted on the facade of the Palasport in via delle Ginestre).

Technically, the lighting system (costing approximately 60,000 euros) will consist of LED projectors, with a depth radius of over 15 meters and a dimmable mechanism, to create the most suitable scenario depending on the seasons. It will be installed in sight, so as not to alter the rocky surfaces with cuts and excavations. The Technical Economic Feasibility project for the works was approved in August 2022, the Executive one last October.

The works should start in a few weeks and, barring unforeseen events, should be finished by next February , so that this attraction can make a good show of itself. Undoubtedly for the Palaesi and winter travellers, but also for the first significant tourist flows that will begin to frequent the town of the "Bear" precisely, starting from the Easter period (Easter this year falls on April 20).
