Giangaspare Degogliu, a 23-year-old man from Oruno, is under house arrest after being accused of hitting a 30-year-old man with his car, causing him several serious fractures.

The decision was made by Sassari investigating judge Gianpaolo Piana. "I tried to defend my friend from her ex-partner who was attacking her," Degogliu explained to the judge.

The events occurred on January 2nd in Padru and Degogliu was arrested by the Carabinieri a few days ago.

Degogliu appeared before the investigating judge, assisted by his lawyers, Margherita Baragliu and Gianluca Sannio. The young man from Oruno explained that he was forced to intervene to protect his friend.

Lawyers Margherita Baragliu and Gianluca Sannio provided the investigating judge with medical certificates attesting to the consequences of the alleged attack on the woman, which included a fractured finger.
