He fell into a well and fell about six meters. The dramatic accident occurred this afternoon in the countryside of Ozieri .
The 74-year-old local man was walking when the boards covering the well gave way , and he fell, sustaining injuries to his legs and a pelvic trauma. Two ambulances and the fire department were on the scene.
A nurse lowered himself into the well to provide first aid to the pensioner. He was then harnessed in by firefighters from the specialized SAF (Speleo-Alpine-Fluvial) unit of the Sassari command.
The Fire Department's Drago helicopter was also on site to provide support, along with the Ozieri Carabinieri for the necessary investigations to reconstruct the accident. The recovery operations were quite complex, and the man was rushed to Ozieri hospital.
