Caught driving with a gun and several rounds of ammunition : a 65-year-old man from Orune has been reported for this. The operation took place in recent days, when a patrol of the Nuoro Highway Police stopped a vehicle in the town center, aroused by the driver's nervous behavior and evasive responses during the investigation. During the vehicle inspection, the officers found an illegally held 9mm semi-automatic pistol , complete with magazine and bullets.
The subsequent house search led to the discovery of another weapon: a 16-gauge double-barrelled shotgun, also without a permit, despite the man already owning hunting rifles.
The 65-year-old, a resident of Orune, was charged with illegal possession of a weapon . All the material was seized for further investigation.
