The Band Apart association proposes three evenings to celebrate the cinema of one of the most refined authors of the 20th century. It is Valerio Zurlini who has been able to tell stories of solitude, memory and disenchantment by elegantly crossing some

of the most complex moments in our history.

The festival begins today at 8:30 pm at the Via Canalis venue with a screening of "Estate Violenta." The evening will be introduced by longtime member Pasquino Fadda. On Tuesday the 12th, the film "La Ragazza con la valigia" will be shown, and on Tuesday the 19th, it concludes with "La Prima Notte di Quiete."

«The centenary of Zurlini's birth offers the opportunity to rediscover his work and reflect on the value of a cinema capable of questioning the present through memory – the organizers say – His films, suspended between lyricism and realism, continue to speak to us with surprising relevance, thanks to a direction attentive to detail and an extraordinary ability to direct the actors».
