An Algerian prisoner considered socially dangerous, subject to an expulsion order issued by the Judicial Authority and executed by the Oristano State Police, was repatriated.
The result was achieved thanks to the work of the Immigration Office of the Oristano Police Headquarters, which handled the organizational and implementation phases of the expulsion in close synergy with the Surveillance Office of Cagliari, the "Salvatore Soro" Prison of Oristano, the Algerian Diplomatic Authority and the Border Police of Cagliari-Elmas and Rome-Fiumicino.
The foreign citizen, burdened by numerous criminal records for property crimes and in particular for robbery, was the recipient of the provision as an alternative measure to the residual sentence to be served in prison.
The repatriation activities were carried out by the personnel of the Immigration Office of the Police Headquarters and the Department of Public Security, with national and international escort ensured by two quotas of three State Police officers who guaranteed the security of the operations by accompanying the detainee to the Rome-Fiumicino border to reach Algeria.
