A few lines to say thanks to Chiara's school, the head teacher, teachers, school collaborators, classmates and friends. But above all the letter that Piero Carta, the father of the thirteen year old killed in Silì by his mother, sent to the Media number in Piazza Manno is an opportunity for his "little angel ascended to heaven".
The non-commissioned officer of the local police of Oristano writes: «I wanted to express the desire to thank you for your closeness and solidarity in the most tragic moment of my life. The death of a daughter that no father would ever want to see. The death of my dear daughter has aroused in me, and I think in everyone, an excruciating pain, perhaps even a lot of anger, for a gesture that can never be justified. As a father, I know no hatred, not even for those who committed this atrocity, feeling instead a lot of compassion. Now I await justice for Chiara».
Then the moved memory of his little daughter. «I will always remember her as a serene, polite and sunny girl, who was going towards life. Like all girls of her age, she loved listening to modern day music, rap and trappers, surrounding herself with many friends without making distinctions . In her simplicity, I have always seen Chiara as a mature and optimistic girl. When it happened that I failed at school, he would say to me: “Pà, I'll recover those grades!”. Ours was an expansive dialogue, I made her aware of the possible dangers for her age, she was aware and promptly replied "I know dad... I don't do those things!", always showing me her maturity. One day he told me: " I have to tell you something important, I have a boyfriend", saying nothing else. Days went by, he sent me a voice message on WhatsApp, saying: "about that, I wanted to tell you it was a joke, I don't have a boyfriend, I just wanted to see what your reaction would be" ».
The touching letter goes on with a sweet portrait of Chiara. « She was beautiful inside and out, very attentive to order and the care of her person. He often came with me to the gym, followed "Krav Maga" self-defense courses, he was enthusiastic about it. I often scolded her for her continuous smile at every punch or kick she threw, which is why I said to her "Chiara, remember that if you are attacked on the other side, the others don't laugh"». But there are many other dear memories of Chiara that her father "jealously keeps in his mind and heart".
Then he addresses Chiara's friends and companions directly, with a thought and an affectionate wish for the future: «I imagine your pain for having lost a friend and classmate. Her counter is empty now, but I'm sure she's still there with all of you. His soul is free, he no longer belongs to this earthly life, but he is an angel of the Lord. As a father, I will continue to keep her name alive, I will never give up, knowing that she will always be my guide and comforter. I conclude by wishing you all a happy future full of wonderful experiences, as I would have wished my daughter. Remember that Chiara will always be with you, like an angel who will always listen to you and help you from above".
