A change is in sight at the top of the Carabinieri provincial command in Oristano. After three years, Colonel Steven Chenet will step down to take over as the OAIO office chief of the 2nd Mobile Brigade in Livorno.

This important assignment comes after three years in the city that, according to statistics, continues to be the safest in Italy. This achievement was achieved thanks to the dedication of law enforcement, as Colonel Chenet noted, expressing his satisfaction with the experience in Oristano.

In particular, he highlighted the numerous operations to combat fraud against the elderly, including several arrests for so-called fake Carabiniere or lawyer scams and extortion attempts. He also highlighted the numerous anti-drug operations and red code interventions. The commander praised all the Carabinieri, from the mobile radio units to the various investigative units, to all the station officers, a vital presence in the area.

Starting next week, leadership of the Command will pass to Lieutenant Colonel Raffaele Cirillo.
