It is one of the most peaceful areas in Italy, thanks also to the activities of the police forcesAlways on the front line, alongside the vulnerable and ensuring everyone's safety. The Arma is celebrating its 211th birthday, which has been very successful judging by the results achieved also in the Oristano area, one of the most peaceful areas in Italy thanks also to the activities of the police force. Today in Piazza Cattedrale in Oristano the ceremony took place: the provincial commander Steven Chenet recalled the main activities of 2024, which ended with 141 arrests, over a thousand people reported; maximum commitment in the fight against scams (especially against the elderly) with five arrests.
Great emotion during the award ceremony: simple commendation to Marshal Michele Manca , former commander of the Santa Giusta station currently leading the radiomobile section of the Oristano Company, because in February 2024 he foiled a bank robbery by blocking one of the armed criminals together with retired lieutenant Francesco Ruggiu (who died prematurely two months ago). And simple commendations to Lieutenant Gaspare Fogliana and Vice Brigadier Salvatore Culotta (operational section of the Company), to Marshal Major Federico Madau and to the special qualification chosen corporal Roberto Vacca (Investigative Unit) because they managed to arrest the accomplice of the attempted robbery while he was trying to leave the Island on board a ferry.
Finally, a simple commendation to the major marshal Gianmaria Zedda , to the brigadier Valentino Pianu and to the corporal Marco Pezzullo (commander of the radiomobile operational unit and of the operative unit of the Mogoro Company), to the ordinary marshal Massimiliano Lampis , (commander of the Mogoro radiomobile unit), to the chief marshal Emanuele Ginone (commander of the Oristano agro-food protection unit) for an important anti-drug operation which culminated with three measures.
