Oristano-Fenosu Airport has all the characteristics to host the ITA Airways flight school . Riccardo Faticoni , the sole director of Sogeaor, the airport's management company, is convinced of this. He favors the airline's project, which will involve all Italian regions, with expressions of interest due by January 23, 2026.
By virtue of the airport's infrastructure and strategic location, already equipped with runways and services suitable for general aviation and training activities, Fenosu can host the flight school.
For Faticoni, "the establishment of a center of excellence in training would represent a driving force for the local and regional economy, with positive impacts on employment, tourism, technological development, and professional training ."
Sogeaor calls for the united mobilization of all regional institutions, ENAC, local authorities, business associations, and representatives of the education sector, "so that they act in a coordinated manner to submit a joint candidacy that promotes Oristano-Fenosu as the ideal location for the ITA Airways project ."
