A maxi-brawl involving around forty people and which led to sporting sanctions and, now, also a provision from the Oristano police commissioner Giuseppe Giardina: this is what broke out last April 30th during the football match between Folgore and Ales, valid for the third category championship.
What triggered the turmoil was a sending-off foul. «The argument between the two players – reconstructed the Police Headquarters – also called the starting players and those present on the bench of the respective teams onto the pitch. This resulted in a brawl involving around forty people and which led to the match being suspended."
«The management - continues the Police Headquarters - instead of reconciling the two players, yanked a player from the opposing team and subsequently, having approached the fence that delimits the field from the stands, he railed and attempted a physical confrontation with a fan, attempting to open a gap between the pitch and the stands, to assume similar violent attitudes, seriously compromising public order and safety".
In the following days, the sports judge's measures were taken, namely: a 0-3 defeat for both teams (also condemned to pay a 200 euro fine) and a 5-match disqualification for two players and a 4-match ban for six other players.
Today, as mentioned, after the investigations conducted by Digos, a provision also arrived from the Police Commissioner, i.e. the Daspo against a member of the Folgore board, «who for a year will not be able to access all places in the national and foreign territory where football sporting events of every category and level are held, in particular to the structures of the sports facility located in the "Sa Rodia" area and in its immediate vicinity".
