Oristano's Guardia di Finanza (Financial Police) conducted a series of checks to combat drug dealing.
Under the military's scrutiny, also in action with canine units , are the coastal areas with the greatest tourist influx and places where young people gather, as well as railway stations, bus stops, central squares and the entrances to the province's major schools.
The activity led to the reporting of six people, one of them minors, for drug dealing and the reporting of over twenty people, four of them minors, to the Prefecture as users of illegal substances.
Thanks to the nose of the drug-sniffing dogs “Crest” , a Belgian Malinois, and “Sirius Black” , a German Shepherd, the financial police also managed to find a package containing a large quantity of marijuana on board a car, with the driver of the vehicle being identified and reported to the judicial authorities.
