Firefighters intervened this morning in Oristano to save a cat that was at risk of drowning.

The alarm was raised around 11:30 a.m. by the animal's owners, who, not seeing him return, managed to track him down, through his meowing, in the basement of a semi-abandoned and flooded building, where the cat had become trapped.

The Abbasanta detachment team was dispatched to the scene and, after identifying the animal trapped in over a meter and a half of water, took steps to rescue the feline and return it to its owners.
