Open-air landfill: Cagliari, via Bosco Cappuccio invaded by waste
Residents' complaint: It happens every day despite the intervention of the cleaning staffThere is everything: from chairs – an infinite number – to the remains of a fan and even a mini-bar. But this is only a tiny part of the waste abandoned in via Bosco Cappuccio, in the San Michele neighborhood, which has now occupied almost the entire sidewalk for dozens of meters. And it is certainly not an isolated case, because even in neighboring streets like via Podgora the situation is repeated .
"What are you waiting for to put a check on the "animals" that dump their waste daily in an area already abandoned by everyone?" Residents of the area, civilians, are asking loudly, denouncing a state of total neglect and serious dangers for the health of those who live in the neighborhood. Because, in addition to the smell and the need to slalom between the garbage, the open-air landfill has attracted numerous rodents that roam undisturbed among the waste .
"It's like a truck throwing garbage on the street: we've made numerous reports but the problem keeps happening," complains an exasperated resident. The workers are now passing by every day to clean, but without everything being resolved. Because it only takes a few hours and the street fills up again with bags of all kinds dumped illegally . And with bins that certainly can't contain everything.
