A search is underway for at least 6 migrants whose traces have gone missing while trying to reach the coasts of Southern Sardinia .
The group, made up of 13 people presumably on board two small boats, was tracked down by a merchant ship traveling from Turkey to Spain .
Seven of them, including a woman, were rescued, accompanied to the Gulf of Palmas and transferred to the Sant'Antioco Coast Guard patrol boat to the commercial port of the island.
Waiting for them were the men of the Naval Operations Section of the Guardia di Finanza of Sant'Antioco, the men of Frontex, the agents of the Carbonia police station and the personnel of 118.
