Seui is adorned with the colors of autumn and celebration: from October 30th to November 1st, Su Prugadoriu , the eagerly awaited event now in its thirtieth year, returns. For three days, the streets of the Barbagia town's historic center will once again be filled with lights, voices, aromas, and ancient gestures, celebrating the cult of souls, the memory of the deceased, and the tradition of children's begging.

Among the most representative symbols of the event is “sa mortigedda” , the pumpkin that is displayed at the windows or in front of the entrance doors of homes, or carried around by the little ones on All Saints' Night, renewing a rite that the Seuese community has passed down for many generations.

Founded in 1996 thanks to the vision of the Pro Loco, over the years—since 2009—the event has expanded regionally and continues to grow, establishing itself as an unmissable event in Sardinia's autumn calendar. The last edition welcomed over 15,000 visitors.

"This year, Su Prugadoriu reaches its thirtieth edition," says Seui's mayor, Fabio Moi . "For us, it represents an important showcase that allows us to promote and publicize the most distinctive aspects of our tradition, starting with the mangasinus, which host approximately 90 percent of our more than one hundred exhibitors."

The three-day program, according to the organizers, will offer a rich array of events designed to fully explore Seui: "Not just is mangasinus, artisanal crafts, and culinary excellence, but also ancient crafts, music, exhibitions, museum openings, books, meetings, cinema, workshops, and e-bike excursions to discover the area's natural beauty, in a journey that combines participation, culture, and tourism promotion."

The detailed program of the event is available in the dedicated section of the institutional portal of the Municipality of Seui.
