In the ring of Piazza Marconi the days always pass the same. Apparent calm. From the bars overlooking that welcoming Ollolai meeting place they do not abandon the American dream. "We would like to welcome dissatisfied Americans, those who do not appreciate Donald Trump," says a man over a cup of coffee. "Anyone can come to Ollolai. There is no shortage of houses."
From the heart of Barbagia, the "one euro houses" project is gaining strength. It is expanding, with the support of the Region, supported by numbers. "With one hundred thousand requests, to which are added the 40 thousand linked to the second project on "digital nomads", we want to create a sort of housing agency", says Luca Columbu, computer physicist and manager. "A bridge between the United States and all of Sardinia".
"No outbursts in favor of microphones and notebooks," points out Francesco Columbu, the mayor who can't wait to tell in detail his virtuous idea to stem depopulation and the flight of young people. "We recently presented a business plan to the Region," specifies the mayor, "with a request addressed to the president Alessandra Todde: help to create what will be a real "housing agency"."
