Ollolai, everything is ready for the 21st Donkey Palio

An event now in its 21st edition, which Ollolai proudly defines as "the summer event in Barbagia". Now everything is ready: tomorrow, starting from 9pm, the appointment with the Donkey Palio will be renewed, as always in Piazza Marconi. The colors of the districts, the competitive spirit, the conviviality. The Barbagia community will celebrate, with hard-fought competitions, music and entertainment.

The village of Ospitone is ready to welcome the usual invasion of enthusiasts and tourists. The clay ring will guarantee a proven show, thanks to the organization of the local Pro loco. The departure is set for 9pm on Saturday, with the medieval procession of Sardinia which will have as its protagonists the drummers and trumpeters of the Città di Oristano group and the flag-wavers and musicians of the Borgo Moretta di Alba (Piedmont). Then, space for the actual competitive sphere: on the one hand "Su Palu de sos vihinados", which will see the historic districts of the town compete; on the other the most awaited race, the Donkey Palio.

«We can't wait to welcome and showcase the beauties that Ollolai has to offer - explains the president of the Pro loco, Alessandro Daga -. The Ollolai Palio is competition and fun but above all culture." Pierpaolo Soro, president of the Donkey Palio association, adds: «We have seen this event grow over the years. Behind the scenes there is a long planning work that has allowed us to make ourselves known, edition after edition. It is proof that quality tourism can be achieved here too, when you work well towards a common goal."
