Olbia: Vincentian soup kitchen theft: food intended for the needy stolen

Theft at the Vincentian canteen in Olbia and Solidarity race to help the association that, for years and every day, has served meals to the needy , looted by unknown assailants on Christmas Day.
The canteen is now closed until further notice following the theft yesterday which left it without supplies .
The parish priest of the Basilica of San Simplicio, Father Antonio Tamponi, is launching an emergency food drive . "Starting Monday morning, in the Citadel of Charity (under video surveillance), we'll all be putting the building back together with a single bag, allowing the Vincentian Sisters time to clean up," says Father Tamponi, listing the estimated daily consumption. "Seven kilos of pasta, seven kilos of sauce, and 160 chicken legs."

Gianluca Corda, principal of the Lorenzo Mossa Scientific High School, took up the invitation and, on social media, urged the school community to respond with a concrete gesture of solidarity. "I am confident in the sensitivity and generosity of staff, students, and families," Corda wrote, "who have so often demonstrated concern for the common good."
