Singular discovery on board a lorry stopped for a check by the local police of Olbia, Environmental unit.

The officers identified the vehicle in a downtown street, driven by a Bosnian citizen regularly resident in the city.

The load consisted of over 3 quintals of ferrous scrap, considered hazardous waste. However, there was also a live sheep. When he saw the police, the driver placed a pillow under the sheep's head, as if to demonstrate that he actually cared about the animal's well-being.

The driver, who was found not to have a license to transport waste, has been charged and will also have to answer for the appropriation of the sheep. The latter was returned to its rightful owner while the truck was seized.
