Olbia, Sa festa Manna de Mesu Maju kicks off: New Trolls and Mr Rain in the name of San Simplicio

Everything is ready for Sa Festa manna de Mesu Maju, from May 12th to 17th, which renews devotion to the patron saint of Olbia and Gallura. Presented this afternoon in the Basilica of San Simplicio, the Festivities Committee unveiled the packed program of religious and secular events.
The religious rites have been confirmed, opening with the gathering of votive flags and concluding with the solemn procession of the statue of San Simplicio through the streets of the city that marked his martyrdom. Entertainment events include concerts at the Fausto Noce urban park, which this year hosts the group New Trolls on May 14th and Mr. Rain on May 16th.
There's eager anticipation for the traditional mussel festival hosted by the Committee on May 16th and the Palio della Stella, which will take place on Viale Isola Bianca on May 17th. Some events will be broadcast live on Videolina.
