A 35-year-old man, living in a town a few kilometers from Olbia, has been asking for access to his children for four months, to no avail. The request is based on a ruling from the Sassari Juvenile Court.

The case is now being brought before the Public Prosecutor's Office. Fiorella Testani, the lawyer for the father of the two children, has confirmed the filing of a complaint. Testani says: "This situation is causing serious harm, both to my client and to his children."

The magistrates' order is said to have failed to comply due to the alleged lack of social workers qualified to perform the activities that must be guaranteed. The various public administrations involved have been unable to implement the orders.

For four months, a measure requiring supervised visits between the man in the case and his children has been in place. The man can see his children in the presence of social workers and under certain conditions. This is an order the recipient has never contested or challenged. In four months, it hasn't been possible to proceed with supervised visits with social workers. Lawyer Fiorella Testani says: "My client is not well. He hasn't met with his children and has only fragmentary information about their condition."
