The Olbia State Police continues its work tirelessly, focusing on verifying travel documents , combating illegal immigration and document forgery, and tracking internationally wanted individuals.

In recent weeks , the officers' work has produced a series of concrete results, with the identification and arrest of individuals subject to judicial orders and the interception of travelers attempting to evade border controls using false documents.

Two arrests were made on international arrest warrants : an Iranian citizen and a French citizen, both of whom were transferred to Bancali at the disposal of the Judicial Authorities.

Border Police personnel then arrested another Iranian citizen who, posing as a tourist, was attempting to board a flight to the United Kingdom at Olbia airport by showing a Bulgarian passport which was found to be fake .

The latest operation, carried out in conjunction with the Cagliari Flying Squad, led to the arrest of a recently repatriated Georgian citizen, intercepted at the port of Olbia while attempting to enter Italy under a false identity . During the same operation, two other Georgian citizens were also identified, reported at large for allegedly falsifying Schengen entry and exit stamps to prove their legal stay in Italy.
