The script was always the same: the advert published online presenting a series of “special” massages at low costs , the appointment in a studio (or in a B&B) and then the unpleasant surprise for the customers .

According to the Tempio Pausania prosecutor's office, two South Americans also operated in Olbia in 2024, claiming victims among the professionals and business owners of the Gallura city . According to police investigations, the massage was the bait for the attack, organized to surprise the client and rob him .

During the treatment, the victim was suddenly immobilized, beaten, and robbed (of money, watches, and other valuables) . The two South Americans were indicted by the Tempio Preliminary Hearing Judge, Federica Distefano. They are believed to have operated in Olbia and various other cities across Italy; there are reports of around ten cases. However, many have not filed charges to avoid being identified . Some of the victims have filed civil lawsuits, assisted by their lawyer, Antonello Desini.
