A 37-year-old man, resident in Olbia, was arrested by the Carabinieri of the local Mobile Radio Section for possession of narcotics with intent to sell.

The man, riding a motorcycle, failed to stop at a police checkpoint during a traffic stop and, after a brief chase through several streets in the city center, was caught and arrested. When searched, he was found in possession of one and a half kilograms of cocaine.

The 37-year-old is now in the Bancali prison in Sassari, at the disposal of the Tempio Pausania Public Prosecutor's Office.
