A Gofundme fundraiser launched in Olbia to buy a vehicle to assist Gianni with transportation and daily chores is underway. This initiative is by Rosa, Gianni's support administrator, who is totally disabled following a cerebral hemorrhage and cares for him alone with limited financial resources.

The campaign's goal is to raise the funds needed to purchase a special vehicle, equipped with a bathroom and bed , no longer than the permitted length for parking in parking spaces reserved for people with disabilities.

"The vehicle I'm looking to purchase, which needs to be custom-built, would allow me to continue assisting Gianni in his daily life without having to choose between going out for basic necessities and providing him with the care he needs," which can also be managed outside the home.

"There is, however, a part of our story that is important to me to tell: when Gianni suffered the hemorrhage in 2025, we had been separated for sixteen years. But when he was discharged, faced with the option of transferring him to a facility, I decided to take him in, and since then I have cared for him around the clock, even to the point of quitting work and closing my practice," says Rosa. Currently, donations cover 3 percent of the goal.
