The Tempio Pausania Public Prosecutor's Office has opened a case (commercial fraud) against the owner of a service station in the Olbia area , accused of having dispensed approximately 25 thousand litres of fuel less than the amount indicated by the meters at at least two "filling stations".

The head of the Tempio Pausania prosecutors, Gregorio Capasso, is coordinating the investigations regarding tax matters, as well as the alleged fraud against service station customers.

The investigation was conducted by the Guardia di Finanza (Italian Finance Police) of Olbia , led by Captain Carlo Lazzari. According to the Guardia di Finanza (Italian Finance Police) records, technical tests on two "columns" revealed that the actual quantities dispensed were lower than those indicated.

Technical checks will now be carried out on the system to determine whether the dispensers are malfunctioning or a scam.

The Olbia case is the most serious of those detected by the Guardia di Finanza during a vast inspection operation that covered the whole of northern Sardinia.
