“Pipe bomb” on the landing, in via Nervi in Olbia the bomb squad arrives: «Intimidating act»

The bomb squad removed from the building and detonated a homemade device that had been placed on a landing. It was a “tube bomb,” a tube with a signal flare inside.

There was no trigger, but investigators have little doubt: it was an act of intimidation.

As a precaution, the people present in the building were asked to leave their homes: at the end of the operations they were allowed to return.

The investigations of the Arma personnel are ongoing. Also on site are the Fire Brigade and volunteers who have cordoned off the area.
