One, dedicated to the memory of Samy, a student at the Ipia Amsicora Institute in Olbia, who tragically died last summer in a car accident on his way to work on the Costa Smeralda, was given to his sister to recognize the generous heart of the young man, a frequent donor whose video reels, garnering 100,000 views, encouraged his peers to do the same. The scholarship dedicated to Samy Aiy Oukfir is one of the scholarships awarded by Avis Olbia to deserving students based on academic achievement and the number of blood donations made . Twelve high school students from Olbia, Tempio, and Arzachena received the award this morning in the main hall of the Antonio Gramsci classical and linguistic high school in Olbia. Representatives of professional associations and trade associations attended the awards ceremony, in the presence of all the school principals who attended.
"The scholarships have a strong symbolic value: they are intended to recognize not only the commitment and academic achievement but also the civic awareness and ethic of solidarity that the students have demonstrated with their donations," said AVIS Olbia President Gavino Murrighile.
