A thousand items, including costume jewelry and clothing, were seized by the Arbatax Financial Police. According to the staff of the company on Via Porto Frailis, they were illegal.
Investigations revealed that they did not meet the necessary requirements for marketing. Only the inclusion of certain wording (product name, instructions in Italian, and minimum information) guarantees the purchaser's awareness of the product's quality and, above all, its safe use.
All non-compliant goods were seized and confiscated from the owners of the businesses involved. They were fined a maximum of €25,823.
The activity conducted by the Arbatax Guardia di Finanza, which is part of a broader effort (intensified during the summer season) coordinated by the Nuoro provincial command, confirms the Guardia di Finanza's keen attention to economic control of the area and monitoring activities that pose risks to the protection of consumers and businesses that respect market rules.
